Activating the licence – procedure:
- Prerequisite: We have transferred the licence to your MikroTik account.
- On your active CHR instance, go to System > Licences > Renew Licence, enter your MikroTik account details, select a licence level (e.g. ‘P-1/10/Unlimited’) and click Start.
- Then go to “All CHR keys” in your account (https://mikrotik.com/client/), where you will see your linked instance. Click on “Upgrade” and use your prepaid key to pay during the payment process. That’s all there is to it.
- Note: The CHR instance must be able to communicate regularly with the MikroTik licence server to keep the licence valid (for updates, package changes, etc.) – accessible at licence.mikrotik.com
