Der cAP ac ist ein äußerst leistungsfähiger und leistungsstarker WLAN-Access-Point, der sowohl an Wänden als auch an Decken hervorragend zur Geltung kommt. Das Dualband-WLAN-Modul unterstützt Dual-Channel-Verbindungen im 2GHz-Band nach den Standards 802.11b/g/n sowie im 5-GHz-Band nach den Standards a/n/ac und bietet eine Rundumabdeckung von 360 Grad. Beide Frequenzen können parallel betrieben werden.Obwohl das Funkmodul den Repeater-Modus unterstützt, bieten die beiden Ethernet-Ports die Möglichkeit, Ihr Netzwerk mit Kabeln zu erweitern, selbst wenn PoE-Stromversorgung erforderlich ist, da der cAP ac am ersten Port 802.3af/at PoE-Eingang und am zweiten Port passiven PoE-Ausgang unterstützt. Das Gerät unterstützt zudem IPsec-Hardwarebeschleunigung.
- cAP ac (International) unterstützt die Frequenzbereiche 2412–2484 MHz und 5150–5875 MHz (der konkrete Frequenzbereich kann durch länderspezifische Vorschriften eingeschränkt sein).
