Der RB260GSP ist ein kleiner SOHO-Switch, der über einen Stromausgang an seinen Ethernet-Ports verfügt. Die Ports 2-5 können andere PoE-fähige Geräte mit der gleichen Spannung versorgen, die auch am Gerät anliegt (nur passives PoE über Datenleitungen). Der RB260GSP hat fünf Gigabit-Ethernet-Ports und einen SFP-Käfig, das Switching erfolgt über einen Atheros Switch Chip. Auf dem Gerät läuft ein speziell für MikroTik Switch Produkte entwickeltes Betriebssystem - SwOS.
