Das RB450Gx4 ist ein Ethernet-Router mit fünf Gigabit-Ethernet-Ports, einem seriellen Port, 512 MB NAND-Speicher und einem microSD-Kartensteckplatz. Darüber hinaus unterstützt er volle 10V-57V Eingangsspannung über zwei Strombuchsen oder PoE (802.3af/ at oder passives PoE) und kann PoE-Ausgang für Ethernet-Port #5 bereitstellen.
Es wird direkt im CA150-Gehäuse als Komplettsystem geliefert. Der Formfaktor des Geräts ist identisch mit den früheren Serien RB850 und RB450.
Das Gerät wird von einer Quad-Core-ARM-CPU angetrieben, verfügt über 1 GB RAM und unterstützt Hardware-IPsec-Verschlüsselung. Das Gerät wird von RouterOS betrieben - dem Betriebssystem, das dieses leistungsstarke System in einen hochentwickelten Router, eine Firewall oder einen Bandbreitenmanager verwandeln wird.
