Mikrotiks cAP ac ist ein sehr zuverlässiger und leistungsstarker Wireless Access Point welcher vom Design her sehr gut in jedes Haus auch mit gehobenen Ansprüchen an Form und Design passt (sowohl an Decken als auch an Wänden). Der gleichzeitig (parallel in 2,4GHz und 5GHz in 802.11ac samt Vorgänger-Standards) als Dual-Band AP fungierende Wlan-Router bietet eine 360° Rundumversorgung an.

Trotzdem die Wlan-Interfaces auch den Repeater-Mode unterstützen, erweitern einem die beiden Ethernet Ports insofern die Möglichkeiten als dass man sein Netzwerk auch über Kabel anbinden kann, auch für den Falls, dass das Gerät mit PoE versorgt werden muss. Der cAP ac unterstützt 802.3af/at PoE Input auf dem ersten Port und passiven PoE Output (Mikrotik PoE Output) auf dem zweiten Port.

- cAP ac (International) unterstützt die Frequenzen 2412-2484MHz und 5150MHz-5875MHz abhängig vom jeweiligen Länderrecht.
